Why SPC Flooring "waves"?

The resons for SPC Flooring warping or waves.Many distributor super headache of the SPC all kinds problems ,especiall the most common problems -warping or waves .

We have more than 10years experiences for the SPC and LVT flooring ,before we talk about the problem ,we first compare the SPC and LVT structures ,that will help us more understand exact reasons.

First Layer--UV coating ;Second layer--Wear layer;Third layer --Printed Decorative Film layer ;Fourth layer--SPC core;Five layer--Locking System

Six layer--IXPE Foam (optional)

As we can see from this structure ,SPC no balance layer ,the surface wear layer is PVC materials,will be shrink as the temperature influctution ,if the wear layer shrink that will be have pull force for the backing SPC core ,so we think why SPC warping,we summarized the following reasons.

　　1、The SPC flooring ingredients problem ,the SPC flooring composite by PVC ,stone powder and all kinds of the addictives.Now the PVC and stone powder rate mainly have severals kinds,1:3.2,1:3.3,1:3.5 etc.In the ingredients ,stone powder add too much ,cost is lower ,can't balance wear layer pull force ,click very fragile.

If underlayer self-leveling not super good ,the click will be easy broken.Also have another point ,every said the SPC flooring is waterproof ,actually not ,it is only water resistant,if in humid environment ,like Vietnam ,Thailand ,Malaysia ,Indonesia etc .In those hot and humid country ,if add too much stone powder ,the SPC

core air gap will be more big ,the stone powder more easy absorb the humid and expand ,the backing expand and loose ,that will be lead to the flooring waping.

　　2、The flooring will be expand and shrink as the temperature influctution,if the flooring PVC rate is higher   ,the flooring click will be more strongger ,but the same time the shink and expansion rate will be super high ,if install in some cool place ,(actually have obvious spring ,summer ,Autumn,winter) during winter ,it is ok ,but when pass summer ,the flooring will be expand and easy warping.So in those Dry and cool place ,we use less PVC and more stone powder .

　　3、Install reasons,such self leveling not good ;Installer work use hammer strong beat the click ,self leveling not dry througly,no gap in super big place ,we sugegst keep gap between 15X15m etc,we will have instrutions of the install for our customers.

　　4、Addictives ,addictives also belong the ingredient problems.It is play very important role .

How to Resolve thse problem ?

1.We first ask the customers where he come from ,first should make clear his country dry or humid ,temperatures etc .

if his country is humid ,we will use more PVC and suggest add one humid proof layer in backing ,that can balance wear layer pull force ,second that will be throughly isolated the humid and self-leveling ,when we go to some humid country to see ,like Vietnam ,Thailand ,Malaysia etc ,their self leveling is hard to dry throughly .

2.For the dry country ,we will use little higher stone powder to decrease the expansion and shrink rate
